Precast Production

Precast Production

Our Production Process involves 8 steps starting from Cleaning of Mould to Stocking and Dispatch the Production Elements. Our Production Process involves the following Steps:

  • Cleaning of Mould
  • Placing of Shutters
  • Placing of Reinforcement and Other Accessories
  • MEP Services
  • Concreting
  • Curing
  • Demoulding
  • Stocking and Dispatch

1. Cleaning of mould

There are many factors that has to be considered before using the mould. The first and foremost thing is to Clean the Moulds. Cleaning while in a process can truly improve efficiency and productiveness.

It is easier to effectively and totally strip a mould if you know what is on the mould surface. All mould should be removed the same way, There is usually no need to identify what types and concentrations of mould you have via testing.

  • Mould should be cleaned and free from debris and old mortars.
  • Mould release agents to be applied evenly over the surface.

2. Placing of Shutters

After cleaning the moulds the shutters has to placed with exact dimensions of the element.

  • The required type shutters to be placed as per the element shop drawings.
  • Accuracy of dimensions of the elements to be maintained.
  • Any openings present also to be marked and placed.

3. Placing of Reinforcement and Other Accessories

After the placing of shutters, the next step is to place the reinforcement on the elements with accurate rebar size.

  • After the placing of shutters, reinforcement is placed.
  • All cast-in items like corrugated pipe sleeves, lifting anchors and prestressing strands are introduced into the reinforcement.
  • Rebar size, spacing and length are checked.
  • All the MEP related inserts can be placed comfortably before casting so that we can avoid the chiseling works at alter stage.

4. MEP Services

Provision for electrical conduits and recesses are made in the elements.

5. Concreting

After the MEP Services we need to apply concrete with proper vibration and compaction.

  • Before concreting, check and verify all the details, comply with the drawings.
  • Check the grade of concrete, its slump and cubes are casted with every casting
  • Proper vibration and compaction to be carried out.

6. Trowelling & Finishing of Elements

Provision for electrical conduits and recesses are made in the elements.

  • The required thickness is maintained by use of screeder.
  • Use of power trowel / float will give a smooth surface finish.

7. Curing of Precast elements

  • Steam curing of precast elements allows us to accelerate the setting time of concrete and also early age strength for the element to be stripped.
  • This also provides the use of moulds on a 24 hour based routine.
  • Concrete cubes are also subjected same conditions as of precast elements

8. Demoulding

  • Before demoulding the strength of cubes are tested.
  • Upon the achievement of the required concrete strength the element is stripped.
  • In case of prestressed elements the strands are to be cut off.

9. Stocking & Transportaion

After Demoulding The Element has to be numbered and sent for Erection

  • Once the element is demoulded the critical dimensions are verified and labelling is done to uniquely identify the elements.
  • Depending upon the schedule the elements are either dispatched to site for erection or stocked.
  • Each element has unique number & barcode for identification.
